Cleveland Government Television Mission Statement

The City of Cleveland government television’s (CLV TV23) primary goal is to make local government more accessible and understandable to Cleveland residents through the production and distribution of programming that covers a broad range of government information.

TV23 strives to assist local viewers in understanding how local government operates, what city services are available, how to use city services, and how the activities of city government affect the community.


Programming

TV23 has a host of programming options for our viewers. TV23 is the only station in Cleveland providing gavel-to-gavel coverage of:

  • Mayoral Town Hall Meetings
  • Cleveland City Council Committee Meetings and Hearings
  • City Hall Press Conferences
  • City-Sponsored events and programs
  • Cleveland City Recreational Activities

Homegrown Talent

With the renovation of the TV23 studios (located in the Cleveland Convention Center), TV23 has added a variety of original programming to its line-up:

Market

Operating 24 hours a day, TV23 has an audience of more than 85,000 households, and it continues to grow. Programming is developed within the walls of Cleveland City Hall and the TV23 studios in the Cleveland Convention Center. The signal originates from Adelphia Cable and is transmitted throughout the City on an interconnected network of fiber and coaxial cable.
