For years Cleveland has highlighted the achievements and importance of its elder community with an annual Senior Day. This celebration is held in May, which is Older Americans Month, and includes an information fair, recognition of outstanding seniors, lunch and entertainment.
The Cleveland Senior Walk promotes exercise, good nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.
This event is sponsored by the Cleveland Departments of Aging and Public Health, the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, the Clevelanders in Motion of the YMCA, and the Senior health and Wellness center at Metro Health, Old Brooklyn campus.
