Andrea V. Taylor joined the Jackson Administration as Press Secretary in January 2007. As Press Secretary, Taylor is responsible for media relations for the Mayor’s Office and the Jackson Administration. She will also serve as spokesperson for Mayor Jackson.

Andrea V. Taylor was most recently Communications Director for Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald, for whom Taylor crafted and executed a communications plan that encompassed constituents’ needs and member activities. She also worked to strategically position the leader in the competitive 53-member congressional delegation from California.

Taylor served as Public Relations & Event Planning Consultant for Ministry Marketing Solutions where she displayed business acumen in negotiating contracts with community organizations and companies for partnership opportunities. At this time, she cultivated a network of national media contacts, nurtured and maintained relationships with press in various markets, secured media coverage for events and media tours that garnered significant media coverage.

Taylor was Promotional and Media Relations Director for Radio One in Detroit, Michigan. Here is where Taylor honed her skills as a P.R. maven, providing imaging for on-air personalities via talent bios, press kits and strategic event selection to ensure maximum exposure of artist and entity.

Her impressive career background in media, implementing winning strategies for national television, radio and non–profit organizations make her a welcomed edition to the Cleveland community.

Andrea V. Taylor received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University with a concentration in broadcast journalism, language arts and Spanish.
