We live in different world than we did prior to September 11, 2001. we are more aware of our vulnerabilities, more appreciative of our freedoms and more understanding that we have personal responsibility for the safety of our families, neighbors and our nation.

Included in this guide is practical information on how your family can prepared for any disaster. It includes up to date, hazard specific safety tips and information about protection and preparedness.

The City of Cleveland is committed to providing a safe environment for all our citizens. A large part of safety revolves around the preparedness of not only it's safety forces, but also the citizens and visitors of the community.

Most of this information is based on the publications provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. More information can be found on the FEMA website at www.fema.gov.
