SHAP - Senior
Homeowner Assistance Program
SHAP provides grants to low income, Cleveland residents
age 60+ who reside in and own SINGLE- OR TWO-FAMILY homes in
need of critical, health, safety and maintenance repairs. Please
see the following income guidelines and verification items needed
to be considered for the program.

You may be asked to provide the following
items to verify income:
- Social Security/pension award letters
- Recent pay stubs
- Unemployment verification
- TANF/Medicaid/Dept. of Human Services Award letter
- Tax returns
- Rental property receipts
You MUST live in the property in question and be
able to show clear title.
SHAP applications will not be mailed. A staff person
will bring an application to your home and assist you in completing
the application process. To apply for SHAP, call the Department
