Green Technologies Business Grant Program

This program is designed to attract and cultivate ‘GreenTech’ businesses. The program will help emerging companies by providing a cash infusion to help them achieve growth.
The grants are targeted towards companies with proprietary technologies who have strong growth indicators and can meet the unique needs of the energy, transportation and electronic industries. These companies represent an excellent source of employment growth for the region as well as one of the strongest opportunities to provide superior investment returns to investors as well as the community.
Eligible applicants include alternative energy companies, green building product manufacturers, recycled product manufacturers, renewable fuels producers, and others.
Approved companies will receive up to $50,000 per year for three years, based on 50% of new City of Cleveland income taxes generated. The program is available to new and existing green technology businesses that create five or more new jobs in the City.
