The Youth Performing Art Series gives children with performance arts ability the opportunity to develop and showcase their talents locally. There are four different projects in the series:

Showagon
Youth who dance, sing, act and perform poetry form a summer performing art troupe that appears on a mobile stage unit call the Showagon. The troupe performs at festivals, recreation centers and community events throughout Cleveland. Youth between the ages of 5 and 17 audition annually in May. The program runs from early June through August.

Holiday Play
The Holiday Play is a fun-filled opportunity for newcomers as well as experienced thespians. Singing, acting and dancing are presented on the stage of the historic Little Theater at the Cleveland Convention Center. Interested youth ages 5 to 18 audition in early October (216.664.2562 for details). The annual show takes place during the latter part of December.

Youth Talent Showcase
The Talent Showcase features talented, trained youth ages 9 to 17 with previous performance experience in three categories: dancing, singing and variety. There is no open audition for this program, as acts are invited to perform based on the diversity they bring to the program and on prior performance experience. The show is emceed by two teenagers and presented annually in May in the historic Little Theater at the Cleveland Convention Center.

October Dance Fest
This program celebrates young people aged 8 to 17 who are skilled in a variety of dance styles including ballet, tap, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and African. Appointments for auditions can be made by calling 216.664.2562. This program is presented in the historic Little Theater at the Cleveland Convention Center.
