Community Education
The Community Education and Training Section administers public Heartsaver CPR/AED classes; participates in career days; and provides speakers to local groups and organizations including private businesses.
Public training classes are posted on the City's Safety Calendar. These services are available at no cost to the public and to private organizations. Arrangements can be made and further information is available at 216.664.2020, ext. 257 or 253 or by email.
Community Health Screenings
EMS professionals perform blood pressure screenings, glucose and cholesterol screenings throughout the community. Screenings open to the public are posted on the City's Safety Calendar. Organizations, including private businesses, can make arrangements for EMS personnel to test on-site at their establishment. There are no fees for these services. Education for Professionals
The Education/Continuing Education and Training Section conducts training, certification and recertification for healthcare, safety and rescue professionals. Classes, including Certification/recertification for BLS, ACLS, PEPP, GEMS, PBTLS, BTLS, WMD and BLS/First Aid are fee-based, and discounts may apply.
