Cleveland's First CERT
Helping One Another
Clevelanders are learning vital skills to help themselves, their fellow workers and their neighbors. Trained through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program, these residents are able to offer assistance in a disaster even before professional emergency crews arrive on the scene.
This twenty hour training and disaster simulation drill focus on:
- disaster preparedness
- fire safety
- light search and rescue
|
|
- disaster psychology
- terrorism and CERT
- disaster medical operations
|
CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking an active role in community emergency preparedness projects.
