The Department of Public Safety is comprised of seven Divisions or sections: 

Emergency Medical Service   Fire
Police   Kennels
Homeland Security   Corrections
Office of Professional Standards

Each of these divisions share the common goal of maintaining a safe environment for Cleveland residents, businesses, and visitors.

The department strives to meet its objectives by providing efficient and effective service, establishing public trust through the development of strong partnerships within the community, and by focusing on public safety and improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

The men and women of the Department of Public Safety are committed to ensuring public safety and improving the quality of life for everyone who lives in, works, or visits the City of Cleveland.
