General Information
The Kennel responds to all calls for services or complaints concerning animal ordinances, and it provides stray animal pickup throughout the City of Cleveland. Wardens are on 24 hour duty Mondays through Fridays and are available from 7 am to 11 pm Saturdays and Sundays. The Kennel is open to the public from 10 am to 3 pm Mondays through Saturdays, except for legal holidays.

2008 Cleveland Cats Project
The PetFix Northeast Ohio mobile low-cost spay/neuter clinic altered its 5000 th animal in January at the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL). In celebration, PetFix is joining the APL and the City Kennel for the 2008 Cleveland Cats Project. Funded by The Cleveland Foundation, the PetFix Clinic will alter approximately 400 feral cats and pet cats of low-income Cleveland residents. It is estimated the project will prevent the birth of as many as 4000 unwanted kittens in the city this year. -details

Adoption and Volunteer Opportunities
There are photos online of dogs and cats available for adoption from the Kennel. A $47 adoption fee includes spay/neutering, microchip, and vaccination. Families who adopt dogs are required to procure a dog license at the time of the adoption. To foster an animal, make a donation, or become a Kennel Volunteer, interested parties are asked to please contact the Friends of the Cleveland Kennel.

Pet Services and Fees
The return/reclaim fee for dogs is $40.00 plus the dog license fee.
