The Cleveland Police Department has made it easy to pursue goals outside of police work.

The department has supported and encouraged me to finish my college education and to serve in the Ohio National Guard. Since becoming a Cleveland Police officer I have attained my Bachelors degree and have become an officer in the military.

As a member of the National Guard I have been called to active duty for extended periods of time such as the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and for numerous military schools. My supervisors have never made me feel as if the military was a burden that was placed on the department and I have always been welcomed back with open arms.

The support that I have received from the department has made it easy to serve my county and my community.
