The Division of Architecture designs and prepares building surveys, preliminary drawings, estimates, detailed drawings and specifications for all buildings under the charge of the City of Cleveland.
  Bureau of Docks and Bridges 216.664.6040
This section of the Division of Engineering and Construction is responsible for maintaining and operating the City's six lift bridges spanning the Cuyahoga River. It is also responsible for full or partial maintenance of 246 bridges and regular structural inspection of 130 City bridges.

This office provides management to the six divisions of the Public Service Department. It coordinates personnel, prepares and monitors the budget and investigates operational concerns of the Director.

 
  Graffiti Program 216.664.2510
This ensures removal of city-wide graffiti by City employees and volunteers. It enforces anti-graffiti ordinances and educates the public, especially children and community groups about the negative aspects of graffiti.
  Guard Rail Repair 216.664.2510
This program is charged with protecting the public right-of-way property from out-of-control vehicles and health hazards resulting from illegal dumping.

Early in November, leaf pick-up begins in high leaf-generation areas (see flyer and map). Signs are posted on Thursdays for the following week's pick-up. Residents who don't live in high leaf-generating areas may bag their leaves for collection on regular pick-up days.

The control, supervision of procurement custody, maintenance, repair and assignment of all motor vehicles and equipment of the various Departments of the City are the basic functions of the Division of Motor Vehicle Maintenance. These motor vehicles include passenger cars, trucks, vans, commercial and industrial vehicles and equipment.
 
  Repairs and Towing
This program under the Division of Motor Vehicles provides efficient, cost effective vehicle repair service for the City owned fleet, emergency service, and towing.

The Division of Streets is charged with street maintenance, repair, cleaning and safety. Specifically, it provides the following services: resurfacing, repair, sweeping, leaf pickup, guardrail installation, snow and ice removal, and graffiti abatement.

This Division of Streets promotes a clean appearance and provides safe road conditions by cleaning streets and removing litter.
  Street Repair 216.664.2510
This program provides road maintenance services in order to eliminate hazardous conditions and extend the life of newly resurfaced streets in order to save taxpayer money. It provides for the repair of utility openings, the repair of pot holes, sealing of surface cracks in the street, and the maintenance of brick streets
 
  Street Resurfacing
This program provides for the construction maintenance, and repair of roads to provide safe traveling conditions for all motorists.

The Division of Traffic Engineering is charged with planning street design as related to safe and efficient traffic operation. The Division erects and maintains traffic control devices; prepares drawings, standards and specifications; and the determines parking and the design/placement of pavement markings, traffic signs and traffic control devices.

This program allows for the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signals and related aspects. This work is performed in a timely manner, as new and revised installations are made within four months and complete repairs within two months for non-emergencies and immediately for emergencies.
 

Traffic Signing and Street Marking 24-hour hotline: 216.420.8283
This allows for the fabrication, installation, maintenance and replacement of traffic, parking and miscellaneous signs, traffic markings, and the fabrication and installation of special signs for other city organizations.
