PROGRAM NAME: RADIO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

OBJECTIVE:

  • To maintain the City's 800 MHz system in a reliable condition suitable for use by all City divisions including Police, Fire and EMS.

ACTIVITY:

  • Ensure that maintenance contracts are in place for infrastructure as well as ancillary facilities, administer maintenance contracts, respond to alarms, system problems and user problems in an effort to coordinate maintenance efforts

 

PROGRAM NAME: RADIO SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION

OBJECTIVE:

  • Respond quickly to requests for programming and reprogramming of radios and other system equipment.

ACTIVITY:

  • Work with user divisions to ensure that changes in radios are made in a timely fashion.
  • Work with users to suggest changes or improvements in radio configuration.
  • Re-template radios that bad undergone maintenance or radios that are being relocated from one vehicle to another.

 

PROGRAM NAME: CAPITAL INFRASTRUCTURE

OBJECTIVE:

  • Make improvements to the infrastructure to ensure sufficient system capacity to meet the communication needs of City divisions.

ACTIVITY:

  • Obtain necessary system hardware and or system software to continually upgrade system to keep it in condition to serve the needs of the users.
