FAIR OR FARE

Fair - noun:

  1. A gathering for the buying and selling of goods; market.
  2. A large public show of farm or industrial products, often with entertainment and contests: Let's go to the County Fair.

Fair - adjective:

    1. Beautiful; attractive: A fair maiden.
    2. Light in color: She has fair skin.
    3. Clear; not cloudy: fair skies.
    4. Not favoring one side more than another: She is a fair judge. Each got a fair share.
    5. Average: The movie was only fair.
    6. Following the rules: The umpire ruled it was a fair play.

Fair - adverb:

    1. In a fair way: He doesn't play fair.

Fare - verb:

    1. To get along; do: He is faring well.

Fare - noun:

    1. The price of a ride on a vehicle: bus fare or plane fare.
