PAIN OR PANE

Pain - noun:

  1. A sharp ache or sore place in the body that is caused by an injury or sickness: The man felt a pain in his back when he picked up to box.

  2. Mental or emotional suffering: Her son's suffering caused her great pain.
  3. Trouble, car, or effort: They took pains to do their job right.

Pain - verb:

  1. To cause to suffer: Her back pained her greatly. The insult pained the gentle girl.

Pane - noun:

  1. A sheet of glass in a window or door: The man is washing the window pane.
