PORE OR POUR OR POOR

Pore - noun:

  1. A tiny opening in the skin or another surface: The pores in your face can get clogged if you use too much makeup and not clean it off correctly.

 

Pore - verb:

  1. To look at or study with great care: She pored over the science book..

     

Pour - verb:

  1. To flow or cause to flow in a stream: Will you pour me a glass of milk?
  2. To rain hard: It poured last night.

Poor - adjective:

  1. Having little money: The family was to poor to by new clothes.
  2. Low in quality; not good: The man was in poor health.
  3. Less than is needed; not enough: Last fall's harvest was poor.
  4. Pitiful; unfortunate: The poor thing is frightened!
