SIGHT OR SITE OR CITE

Sight - noun

  1. The ability to see; eyesight. Example - He wore glasses to improve his sight.
  2. The act of seeing. Example - I can't stand the sight of blood.
  3. The distance that someone can see. Example - The enemy submarine stayed out of sight.
  4. Something worth seeing. Example - I want to see the sights.
  5. Something unpleasant, shocking, or odd to see. Example - My hair is a sight.
  6. A device, as on a gun, that helps in aiming. Example - The sight on a telescope.

Sight - verb

    1. To see with the eye. Example - We sighted a plane in the distance.

Site - noun

    1. The place where something is, was or will be located. Example - A battle site. A building site.

Cite - verb

    1. To summon to appear before court. Example - She was cited for speeding and must appear in traffic court.
    2. Quote. Example - He cited me word for word.
    3. To refer to especially in commendation or praise.
      Example - The Mayor really cited you in her commendation.
