WEAR OR WHERE

Wear - verb:

  1. To have or put on one's body. She wanted to wear her new dress.
  2. To have or show. Wear a smile.
  3. To damage or remove by rubbing or use. Water can wear away a stone.
  4. To make or create through use or rubbing. Your pacing back and forth will wear a hole in the rug.
  5. To last even though used. His winter coat did not wear well.

Wear - noun:

    1. The act of wearing or the condition of being worn. The fancy dress was created for evening wear.
    2. Clothing. The store carried men's wear.
    3. Damage that comes from use or age. He could see any signs of wear on the furniture.
    4. Service; use. We got a lot of wear out of those clothes.

Where - adverb:

    1. At or in what place or position. Where is your sister?
    2. To what place or end. Where did they go for vacation?
    3. From what place or source. Where did you get that game?

Where - conjunction:

    1. At or in what or which place. I am going to my room, where I can study.
    2. In or to a place in which or to which. She lives where the weather is mild. I will go where you go.
    3. Wherever. Where there's smoke, there's fire.
    4. But; on the contrary. Mars has two moons, whereas Earth has only one.

Where - pronoun:

    1. What or which place. Where did these come from?
    2. The place in, at, or to which. This is where I found the money.
