Cleveland, January 30, 2006 -- Mayor Frank G. Jackson will swear in Trudy Hutchinson as Director of Personnel today at 1:00 PM in the Red Room of Cleveland City Hall.

Trudy brings more than twenty years of experience to her new position as the Director of Personnel for the City of Cleveland. She most recently served as the Human Resources Director at the Lake County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Prior to joining the Board, she worked as the Labor Relations Manager for the City of Cleveland where she originally began as a Labor Relations Officer for the Department of Public Utilities. Additionally, Trudy worked for Cleveland State University for ten years, beginning as a Personnel Officer and later promoted to Coordinator of Training and Labor Relations.

Trudy was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1983 after graduating from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. She earned a Bachelor of Journalism from University of Missouri. Trudy also served as a VISTA volunteer in Chicago, Illinois and worked as an editor for the Journal of the American Medical Association before moving to Cleveland.
