Mayor Frank G. Jackson's Arts & Culture Initiative welcomes the Cleveland Ceili Dancers on Monday evening
before City Council. A Ceili (kaylee) is an Irish dancing session and the Cleveland
Ceili Dancers do what is called set dancing. A set is a square (four couples) and
the dancing is similar to square dancing but involves Irish music and Irish calls.
This group has been meeting weekly since 1993 and is open to anyone who wants to learn.
Practices are on Tuesday evenings at St. Clarence Church in North Olmsted.
More information will be available in the Rotunda of City Hall
during the performance.
