CLEVELAND, March 28, 2006- Mayor Frank G. Jackson will join Charter One to announce the "Charter One UPtown Initiative" aimed at bolstering large-scale development projects and improving housing opportunities in University Circle and surrounding neighborhoods. Through this initiative, Charter One will be investing $150 million into the Cleveland economy for jobs and housing. "The money invested by Charter One in our neighborhoods will help improve the quality of life for our residents and our businesses; expand the revitalization that is already underway; and, demonstrates that Cleveland is truly the heart of this region's economy" said Mayor Jackson.
