Mayor Frank G. Jackson to announce appointment of special prosecutor to address pending deadly force cases

CLEVELAND, April 5, 2006 -
Mayor Frank G. Jackson will appoint retired Judge C. Ellen Connally as Special Prosecutor, effective immediately, to focus on four use of deadly force cases. This appointment is in line with Mayor Jackson's commitment to find quick and just resolution to outstanding use of deadly force cases.
