Apprenticeship 2.0

Apprenticeship 2.0: Finding the Sweet Spot for Employers and Apprentices
An In-Demands Job Week Event

Those interested may attend in person or via webinar. Free and open to the public. Registration required at https://omjcc.us/

Apprenticeships offer great promise in the contemporary moment because they blend classroom and work-based learning, they cultivate the talent that businesses need, and they offer people opportunities to build great careers without going deeply into debt. But if they are such a panacea, why do they have such a stodgy image in the U.S.? What if we thought about them differently and built a new ecosystem to support them? In this workshop, participants will learn about design elements and best practices in apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship.

We will share evidence from apprenticeship systems around the world, including the California Apprenticeship Initiative (CAI) in the U.S. Participants will walk away with a set of strategies to help them implement similar programs and systems.
